How We Started
The Origin of RePneu Tool
In a small garage in Palm Bay, Florida, a retired engineer turned his space into a busy repair shop focused on pneumatic fastening tools. After his passing in 2012, his spouse sold the entire setup to a buyer eager to build on the legacy—finally reclaiming the garage for her car. The operation was relocated to Owosso, Michigan, continuing in a similar-sized garage filled with tools and potential.
To expand, a summer intern from a nearby university was brought on to craft a strategic business plan. His initial name idea, “Renew Tool,” was already taken. After brainstorming, the team settled on a creative twist: **RePneu Tool**—a name that blended “renew” and “pneumatic,” capturing the company’s mission to restore and support fastening tools.
And that’s how RePneu Tool was born.
